Introduction to ICA

Images from previous ICA Annual Reports

The ICA’s mission is to promote the study of complex astrophysical phenomena by numerical simulation and the analysis of large and complex astrophysical datasets.

ICA members engage in research including astrophysical magnetohydrodynamics, simulations of stellar atmospheres, studies of galactic star clusters, and research into the formation and evolution of galaxies. They also contribute to the development of new observational tools for astrophysical research.

Additionally, ICA faculty work with and mentor early-career researchers, including post-doctoral fellows as well as graduate and undergraduate students.
