Underground and Overnight Parking
Underground Parking
Underground parking for students is only available to students living in residence. Underground Parking for students, staff and faculty is assigned based on your position on the online waitlist on Ops-com. These spots are reserved and assigned to one person. Underground permits are not valid in general above-ground parking lots.

Underground permits can not be purchased the same way general permits are purchased. If you wish to receive an underground spot, please log onto Ops-com. Join the waitlist on your Ops-com “permits” tab and you will be notified if an underground permit becomes available to you. If you receive an underground spot, you will be contacted by Facilities Management with details on processing your payment, assigning your spot number and the acquisition of a fob and/or key. If you plan on paying with payroll deduction, you will need to submit additional documentation. Please see our Purchase a Permit section for more information.
Overnight Parking
Parking overnight is permitted for students living in residence in the Rice Residence lot only. You do not need to pay an additional fee to park overnight, but you must be an existing general student permit holder. Night employees are also permitted to park overnight during their shift.
Underground permit holders are permitted to park overnight in the underground lot.
